Biosynthesis of all HBGA/Lewis antigens such as A, B, H, Lewis a (Le^a), Lewis b (Le^b), Lewis x (Le^x) and Lewis y (Le^y) FUT2 is provided by transferring fucose (Fuc), d-galactose (Gal), N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc), N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) and SA residues which is provided by a set of glycosyltransferases.
