SIRT7 degradation and G2/M arrest are independent functions of HIV-1 Vpr. a Cell cycle analysis of HEK293T cells transiently transfected with control plasmids or plasmids expressing HIV-1 Vpr WT, Vpr R80A, Vpr 1–79 (deletion of C-terminal residues 80–96), Vpr R62D/F69A or SIVmac Vpx. The percentage of bulk transfected cells in G1or G2 and the ratio of G2/G1 are indicated. b HEK293T cells were co-transfected with plasmids expressing SIRT7 or Vpr WT, R80A or 1–79 mutant.
